ÅÝܽ¶ÌÊÓƵ Conferences & Events+ has partnered with Lancaster Escape Rooms to offer two new experiences at Forrest Hills.

The project provides an innovative and engaging team-building activity for conference delegates and event attendees, and a new Escape Room on campus, which is available to use by the wider University community.

In the Escape Room, participants will work together to solve puzzles, uncover clues, and ultimately escape from the room within a set timeframe of 60 minutes.

The second experience is inspired by the gameshow, ¡®The Traitors’, involving clues and puzzles to gain immunity in a two-hour timeframe.

Both hands-on experiences promote bonding through teamwork, communication, and problem-solving, and offer a break from traditional conference activities in a creative setting.

Head of Business Development and Academic Events Services at ÅÝܽ¶ÌÊÓƵ, Hilary Barraclough, said:

“The partnership between ÅÝܽ¶ÌÊÓƵ Conferences & Events+ and Lancaster Escape Rooms is an example of how creativity and collaboration can elevate the standard conference format.

The project provides a unique way to engage stakeholders on campus, creating memorable and impactful experiences for participants.”

Owner of Lancaster Escape Rooms, Pete McGarry, commented:

“After hosting teams in the city centre’s Escape Room for seven years, we are extremely excited to now offer a second venue based at ÅÝܽ¶ÌÊÓƵ’s Forrest Hills, in partnership with the Conferences & Events+ team.”

The experience can be booked by University staff and students engaging exclusively with the Escape Room via thedirectly. Bookings should be made using a ÅÝܽ¶ÌÊÓƵ organisational email address.

ÅÝܽ¶ÌÊÓƵ Conferences & Events+ will also offer the experience as a bolt-on activity to conference and event delegates. In this case, ÅÝܽ¶ÌÊÓƵ Conferences & Events+ will manage bookings of the Escape Room.
